Today’s full moon is the 2nd Aquarian full moon in a row, making it a blue moon. Our previous full moon was in the early degrees of Aquarius and in aspect to restrictive Saturn, making it a harsher lunation. Today’s lunation is conjunct an optimistic and uplifting Jupiter, creating an all-together different experience. 

A full moon conjunct Jupiter is a thing of beauty and a wonderfully uplifting aspect. It allows us to see/appreciate the things we DO have in these extremely trying times. Along with creating an-air of optimism and opportunity to expand ourselves, to raise our spirits, helping to find moments of joyousness in uncertain times.

2021 is hard, things are changing, and we are adapting, today’s lunation is a lovely moment in time to embrace theses changes and look for the opportunity to grow within these new parameters or limitations imposed by saturnian figures or situations.

We also have today; the Sun is in its last degree of Leo, finishing up its yearly transit in the sign it rules. Venus is now in Libra, another planet back home in its ruling sign; finally, Mercury is also strongly placed in Virgo also its ruling sign. We have some lovely planetary support at this full moon, making a dynamic skyscape. 

Despite all the setbacks, the challenges, the restrictions; today is a wonderful opportunity to settle in and bask in the wonder, the opportunities and the lessons that have gotten us to THIS point in time. Having so many planets in rulership now is the time to bask in their glory and graces before we duck dive into the tail end of 2021 and it’s Astrological landscapes.

AUGUST HOROSCOPES 2021

August 2021 brings friendly skies than we have seen in recent months, Mercury’s retrograde and Eclipse season in May – July was especially difficult. The Sun’s transit of Leo brings strength of illumination and vitality after the moody depths of Cancer season. Paths and directions might be more securely lit and enthusiasm with encouragement abound.

Mercury moving into Virgo the sign of its rulership and exaltation along with Mars helps offer motivation to problem solve some of those niggling problems helping bring solutions. A helpful influence in unpredictable times. The issues to solve will be clearer to see and the answers more accessible.

The new moon in Leo on 8th August, helps with new cycles in the Leo aspects of our chart and lives. The second full moon in Aquarius in a row, on 22 August will be opposite Jupiter the great benefic. This second full moon helps to create opportunity for any problems or restrictions that were presented when the last full moon on 24th July was in aspect to Saturn. This second full moon will also be in aspect to the royal fixed star of Regulus; which could manifest in help or assistance from someone in a high position or you, yourself being put in high regard and receiving some form of benefit or opportunity. LUNAR ECLIPSE 2020 : WHEN THE ROYALS GET ECLIPSED

LUNAR ECLIPSE (Gemini & Sagittarius Axis)

30 NOVEMBER 2020 AEDT 

November 30th (AEDT) sees the second full moon in a calendar month, often referred too as a blue moon. Blue moons are actually relatively common, more common than most of the large-scale planetary alignments of 2020. 

This Full Moon is also a Lunar eclipse,  opening our eclipse season on the new Gemini / Sagittarius axis which began in Gemini season earlier this year. 

The Lunar eclipse of 30 November, as it’s a penumbral lunar eclipse, only a shadow will hit the moon, rather than the regalia of a total lunar eclipse. However, astrologically and magically, an eclipse is still an eclipse. Although not as visually spectacular as the 26 May 2021 Total Lunar Eclipse, this eclipse still has a bit bite, thanks to the conjunction of 2 of the 4 royal fixed stars.

The Sun conjoins Antares and the full Moon conjoins Aldebaran, for this eclipse, giving it a very volatile and aggressive mars like quality. Both Antares and Aldebaran are out for conquest. As these alignments are on an eclipse axis, there is a blurring or shadowing effect. 

Things are very much not as they seem. Unseen actions and power moves are at play, so drawing down this energy is potentially problematic. This is not a full moon to be playing with, unless you like to bring unexpected power plays into your life. 

Resting and staying hydrated during the actual eclipse is recommended along with keeping a low profile. Eclipse can be blind spots or quickening of events, having Antares and Aldebaran being brought into the mix, gives this eclipse some real fire power. 

Re-entering the eclipse season of 2020, it seems appropriate to have such potent points activated as we begin the wrapping up of 2020.  Watch this space, and be mindful of what you choose to do with this energy.

November opens with a Full Moon in Taurus conjoining unpredictable and innovate Uranus early on the 1st. Venus is freshly arrived into Libra, one of her ruling signs. Helpful to begin with, but become more challenging in the middle of the month, thanks to her connections to the much spoken about Saturn, Pluto, Jupiter line up.


Mercury, in the first week of November completes it retrograde cycle, by stationing direct in late Libra and goes back into Scorpio. Integrating insights from its time in I decan of Scorpio and III decan of Libra. Mercury is traversing the tricky terrain of late cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn), who are having lots of pressure applied in the 2nd half of 2020. Mercury is also sounding out the the degree’s points of the fixed signs (Scorpio, Aquarius, Taurus and Leo) who will be welcoming in some serious Jupiter and Saturn energy this December.

Mars, the ruler of Scorpio turning direct mid-month after a volatile 3 month retrograde of Aries. This is huge and begins the completion phase of a tricky 6 months. Strong and volatile Mars interfering with Saturn, Jupiter and Pluto, is never fun, but this Mars station, helps to end the cardinal crush siege, which has been a dominant theme of 2020.

The intro of Eclipse season begins on November 30th, with a blue moon lunar eclipse for Australia and New Zealand (if you’re into putting lots of words in front of your lunation’s). The 2nd full moon of the calendar month rounds out November also opens the 2nd eclipse season of 2020. A visible lunar eclipse for those folks in Australia and New Zealand, seems like a fitting end to what can only be described as a ‘once in a life time’ astrology of 2020.

Mars shifts back into direct motion on the 15th  which is your cue to celebrate.  Recent delays or setbacks have helped realign your relationship to power and strength, making you more agile and adept.  Mid-November is when you finally feel the traction and mobility, in being able to assert yourself. At this time Mercury reveals how to make the best use of opportunities resources offered by others.  

Taurus / Taurus Rising

November opens with a full moon in Taurus, commencing a two week period of innovation and individuation, thanks to the moon’s connection to Uranus. Uranus delivers opportunities that are hard to turn down or steers you in a slightly different direction. Mercury completes it retrograde on the forth, giving more clarity to your business and personal relationships, which lightens the mood and makes for an enjoyable party season. 

Gemini / Gemini Rising

By mid-month, Mars no longer stirs up trouble in your social sector meaning your community and networking sector are less volatile, creating less stress and friction. For two weeks, a full moon in contact with Uranus, helps clarify and innovate feelings that lays beneath the surface. Venus hits the right notes by reconnecting to things and people who raise your spirits and help lighten the mood. 

Cancer / Cancer Rising

Mars stationing direct is a big deal mid-month; finally the load is lessened and the atmosphere lightens up. Your career and reputation sector shows you off as being strong, and agile, able to power through any issues or confrontations.
