The New Moon in Aquarius will be one unlike any other, thanks to 6 of the 7 inner planets being in Aquarius at this lunation, creating a huge Aquarian stellium or line-up. This is rare and last occurred 59 years ago; feeding an extraordinary amount of planetary energy into the Aquarian sector of your chart/life.

Aquarius, the water bearer is the provider and the support system, which is always working towards a point of wholeness or completion. It is perhaps at this new moon; we can look to the Aquarian aspects of our lives with the intent to bring more support and structure into what we strive to complete or bring wholeness around these topics of life.

Aquarian’s are individual within the collective, they hold their individuality and uniqueness, within the space of others; they are able to be themselves, whilst assisting others to help create community, it might just not be in the most traditional of ways. NEW MOON IN SCORPIO

The new moon in Scorpio is kind of an interesting one ! Mars the ruler of this lunation, is recently stationed direct. Although lacking in pace, mars is operating in the right direction and is able to build some forward motion, much like the new moon. Mars recently direct offers a positive influence after so much intensity that was created with its three months retrograde. This mars ruled new moon, offers a nice little resting/restart point.

The New Moon has a lovely sextile to Jupiter, giving some optimism around capricornian things such as money or benefits from people in power or authoritarian roles such as workplace bosses or those who have power and influence. Be open to assistance from those in positions of authority over the next two weeks, there might be a nice helping hand. Or you take on that role and position to assist others, with your own ability to influence and help others, through your own powers and privledges.

Mercury is opposite Uranus in Taurus. Mercury sharing the same space as the new moon in Scorpio, give a little boost to mercantile things such as trade, business, perhaps writing and communication. Uranus is the unseen opportunity or idea. Be open to the unexpected opportunity of exchange.

Overall, it’s an interesting new moon, with some really nice areas for opportunity and expansion, especially as the moon waxes towards its fullness. Keeping in mind this is the last lunation before eclipse season begins. So, this is the last moon we have that isn’t impacted by eclipses for the next few lunar cycles. Deep in darkness, restriction and burdens weigh heavy. Hours after the New Moon in Cancer, its effects are heightened with the Sun’s opposition to Saturn. The Sun’s light revealing the cracks, as it pours light from an opposing angle, allowing a new view of what has been bound together and constructed.

This occurring deep in the darkness of the ‘new’ moon, IS hard. Waiting for the moons first crescent of light to hatch, is uncomfortable. When this light is shed La Luna is finally able to help, lessen the intensity of feeling and emotion. Until then, this is where we will be.

The cracks and stress fractures are currently well-lit and obvious. The Sun opposite Saturn makes any weakness apparent, any regrets glaringly obvious. We will be sitting with this, waiting and wandering, lamenting as we gather ourselves for the Sun to progress into Leo on July 23rd.

When the Sun enters Leo, we are welcomed with its warmth and more inspired to play in its light. It is at this time that the first of the moon’s new light begins to shine down upon us. Allowing us to move forward with the insights gleaned over this challenging dark moon cycle. Until then we sit and a wait, processing as we anticipate the return of the King, and the Sun’s entry into Leo.
